Delaine

Born and raised with the New Orleans “Laissez les bons temps rouler” spirit (Let the good times roll), great food and music have been in her blood since birth.  Delaine attended Louisiana State University, and majored in Theatre.  Despite the Louisiana southern hospitality, Delaine had her sights set on show business so when she ultimately had to move to “the city that never sleeps”…New York.

While in NYC, Delaine studied the Meisner Technique with the prestigious William Esper of William Esper Studios.  Soon she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to show off her skills in both comedic and dramatic roles in television and film.  Delaine appeared in such shows as Law and Order Swift Justice, Feds, Hope and Faith, Homocide and recurred on The City.  She also appeared in the movies, Mr. Jealousy and Lifebreath.

After two very big snow filled winters, this southern girl opted to head for the other show biz capital… sunshine filled Los Angeles, California.  Hollywood was good to Delaine.  She appeared in several television shows such as NYPD Blue, Sex in the City and McBride: Fallen Idol opposite John Laroquette.  As far as the “Pictures,”  as they called it in old Hollywood, Delaine worked on some very high profile movies such as Lucky You opposite Drew Barrymore, Debra Messing and Eric Bana and also had a leading role in the movie, Eichmann. Other film credits include, Unthinkable with Carrie Anne Moss, The Genius Club, The Ghost and A Perfect Little Man.

Delaine has always wanted to shoot something in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana, as it would be a dream to work in close proximity to her southern friends and family.   Delaine is quite proud of her Southern heritage and hopes to raise her two young children with all the Southern grace and charm her Mama taught her.

Her greatest joy as an actor is playing “real southern” characters and she is so very grateful to be a part of the original cast of the Southern Women Channel, and most importantly to portray southern women in all of their true guts and glory! “Laissez les bons temps rouler”!!!
