Aisha

Aisha Atkins hails from Memphis, TN and is certain that Memphis has the best BBQ!  She is so thankful that she was raised in the South where she learned to sew from her Grandmama and learned how to “cook southern” from her Mama.  Aisha can whip up a mess of collard greens and candid yams that taste so good they’ll make your tongue slap your brains out.   In high school, she was a cheerleader, a member of the show choir, and a member of the drama club. She’s always been athletic and loves hiking, biking and roller skating…yes y’all…roller skating.

Although Memphis is her true love, she always had a hankering to try acting so she recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue show business.    Los Angeles can be an overwhelming city for a Southern girl, so she is so grateful to have met the Southern gals from the Southern Women Channel and to have become a member of West Angeles Church of God and Christ.  Aisha is currently represented by Wilde Model Talent and is honored to be a part of the “Southern Women Channel” family.

What She Loves Most About The South

I love being surrounded by my family. I love the values and the unique identity of the South. It’s not fast paced...there are smaller communities and it’s a different feeling than the big city. Everybody knows everybody and looks out for one another. I love that the South has its own language.

What's Her Favorite Southern City

I love Atlanta. It feels like a mini Los Angeles but with a Southern twist. Celebrities there are approachable. Atlanta never seems as pretentious as LA.
